Foiling, also known as foil blocking or hot foil stamping, is a specialised print technique used on a wide variety of luxury packaging brands. It adds premium cues and can be used to underpin an element, keyline or area of a design to highlight detail or enhance branding.Hot foil stamping is a finishing method used to give texts and patterns an eye-catching appearance. The foil can have a glossy or matt finish with a coloured, metallic or holographic appearance. The size of the area that can be covered varies from very small details, such as letters, to large, solid areas.
Through this process the design elements or images are then transformed into either an embossed (raised outward) or debossed (pushed inward) effect which can be felt when touched. This kind of effect is widely used for company logos, greeting cards, letter writing paper, envelops, paper gift bags, book covers and other stationery products. Due to our technologically advanced equipment and long experience in the print finishing field, TAFprint can offer the following 3D Relief services: With Hot stamping, Blind Embossing, On Illustration, Structures, Holographic Microembossing, Braille

This makes the later folding process mechanically impeccable. Our machines can be adapted to all kinds of folding carton with different setting possibilities.

Spot UV involves applying a varnish to a specific area of a design, such as a logo or part of an image. The varnish gives the area a shiny gloss appearance, while enriching the colour underneath. It adds a premium finish that has multi-sensory impact. The benefits of spot UV is it adds a quality, high visual impact result that will make your product stand out. Popular products include: stationery, packaging, brochure covers, folders and any bespoke products you may have in mind.
Hot lamination is a process by which a machine applies an OPP film on the printing sheet. In this print finishing effect the glue is already applied to the film. Consequently, it is heated by a pre-heated roller which melts and glues the film to the sheet. On the other hand, cold lamination applies a film and glue separately.
Once the printed sheet is laminated, it is protected against the harmful impact of the sun light, insulated from humidity and contamination and becomes stronger. Lamination improves the appearance of the printed products giving them an elegant and complete look, especially when combined with other print finishing effects. It is very common for covers of books, magazines and brochures as well as product packaging giving them premium appearance and added strength. At TAFprint we offer the following services based on Hot and Cold laminating technology: Matt, Gloss, Soft Touch, Non-scratch Matt.
Silver foil lamination, also known as metallisation, is achieved by cold lamination – a technology by which the laminating machine spreads glue on the film which sticks to the printed sheet. Metallisation is a technology of the future achieving spectacular results bringing all or certain elements of the product design to life. It creates a base on which the design is printed and, in combination with other effects, the result is a highly luxurious finish satisfying even the most demanding requirements. A new brilliant dimension in print finishing!
The cardboard lamination is carried out through the application of various types of paper and cardboard on different types of corrugated cardboard. The implementation of a print over paper and cardboard provides its higher precision. The result is a robust and reliable transportation package with a significantly better vision, which successfully replaces the conventional multipacks from corrugated board.
